International Research

This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Edinburgh, Scotland for 8 weeks sponsored by the Summer Undergraduate International Research Program (SUIRP) from UF's Center for Undergraduate Research. See below for an overview of my project or the link for my accepted research proposal.

Project Overview

This study will focus on complex trauma in a Scottish female prisoner population. More specifically, the primary goal of this project is to develop a comprehensive profile of trauma symptomology using the SIDES tool. I will be working on this project with Dr. Adam Mahoney at Edinburgh Napier University to better understand symptoms across multiple dimensions of complex trauma. This study has the potential to contribute to more trauma-informed and effective violence prevention programs for incarcerated women. By developing a detailed and comprehensive trauma symptomology among incarcerated women, this project can be used to better inform the needs of this population. It can also support and promote better rehabilitation and trauma-informed outcomes.
